Where hydroseeding works
BioSeed hydroseeding is used on a broad range of projects across the UK. Wherever a site needs fast, even vegetation cover — for visual completion, erosion control, ecological reinstatement or specification compliance — hydroseeding is usually the most efficient way to deliver it.
Sectors we work with
- Construction sites — landscaping, perimeter and post-completion reinstatement.
- Highways and infrastructure — verges, embankments, cuttings and noise bunds.
- Housing developments — public open space, attenuation features and amenity grass.
- Commercial landscaping — business parks, distribution centres, large open ground.
- Agricultural land — pasture and field reinstatement following pipeline or cable installation.
- Environmental and ecological works — wildflower, native species and habitat restoration.
- Watercourses and drainage — riverbanks, swales, balancing ponds and SuDS features.
Site situations that suit hydroseeding
- Embankments and slopes where erosion control is required and turf or broadcast seed would slip or wash off.
- Newly formed earthworks that need rapid vegetation cover before handover or before the next season of weather exposure.
- Riverbanks, drainage channels and attenuation areas where root binding stabilises the surface.
- Large open spaces where hand or drill seeding would be too slow or labour-intensive.
- Limited-access or uneven terrain that other equipment cannot work efficiently.
- Land reinstatement following construction, utilities or ground disturbance.
Seed mixes
We can apply standard amenity grass mixes, specification-led erosion-control mixes, native UK wildflower seed, sward species blends for ecological restoration, and bespoke mixes for specific soil conditions or design intent. See Our Approach for how a job is planned, or call to discuss a specification.
